When is a pose like a word?
In Yoetry, we find common ground between yoga and poetry, experiencing how they both inspire and inform one another.
Using yoga technique—posture, breath, and meditation—as well as poetic form, we entertain the notion that poetry is as visceral and alive as a yoga form. Too, we visit the idea that yoga is as innately economic and fluid and as alive as poetic language itself.
No experience in either poetry or yoga is required to participate in Yoetry sessions. Enrollment is free.
Provided: Yoga chairs; writing chairs and surfaces; and pens, paper, and Yoetry booklets.
Bring a yoga mat and your favorite writing instruments if you wish.
